STORYN STORYN Studio for Architecture is a nationally and internationally focused architectural practice specializing in precise research and collaboration with clients to create unique spaces that tell a project’s story. Architect/Designer – Hiring at all level

 

Senior Level Architect
10-20+ years of experience
Intermediate Level Architect
5-10 years of experience
Junior Level Architect
1- 3 years of experience

STORYN currently has a strong portfolio of work in five States, Europe and the Caribbean. As we have secured additional exciting projects throughout the US, we seek talented Architects to join our studio, located in St. Petersburg, FL. The area of work will predominantly be hotel, restaurant, and large mixed-use related projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the successful delivery of complex, large scale projects
  • Work within an agreed scope and deliver complete and timely work
  • Demonstrate design and technical aptitude, with developing design and technical confidence
  • Contribute to the generation and exploration of design and construction ideas, maintain the balance between conceptual, aesthetic, constructional and cost influences
  • Develop design work in close cooperation with other members of the STORYN project team
  • Be attentive to client feedback, issues or potential problems and report any issues raised

 

Requirements:

  • Experience with BIM (Revit) *required
  • Registered or working towards architectural registration *preferred
  • Knowledge of construction industry legislation, practice, and procedures
  • Working knowledge of all project work stages
  • Excellent communication skills to work with internal and external clients
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to analyze and critically assess problems
  • Imaginative and creative thinking skills and ability

Administrative Assistant

The Administrative Assistant will carry out various clerical and administrative tasks and provide a wide range of complex administrative support to the Principals and Directors. Prior experience working in a design firm is preferred. The area of work will predominantly involve directly assisting the Business Manager with administrative duties and tasks that will promote office efficiency. The Administrative Assistant will use multiple technical applications including word processing, database management, spreadsheets, electronic calendar, email, and other applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient office operations.
  • Assist in maintaining physical and digital filing systems.
  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, sign for incoming packages, and assist clients and other visitors.
  • Review, assess, route, answer, and monitor follow-up action steps on correspondences for firm Principals and Directors.
  • Prepare and edit email correspondence.
  • Manage calendars for firm Principals and Directors, including making travel arrangements.
  • Input and update information in databases and spreadsheets.
  • Prepare meeting agendas and take meeting minutes.
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings, including room setup and catering.
  • Use word processing and presentation software to create and edit documents.
  • Assist with operating and maintaining office equipment, including printers, copiers, and fax machines.
  • Assist with ensuring office supplies are restocked and always on hand.
  • Work closely with the Business Manager and support other staff members as needed.
  • Work with sensitive information with discretion to maintain confidentiality and security and ensure compliance with privacy policies and regulations.
  • Ensure that deadlines are met and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Present a positive and professional image for the organization.

 

Requirements:

  • Proficient in excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proven experience working as an Administrative Assistant or relevant role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to analyze and critically assess problems.
  • Experience working with a design firm preferred.
  • The Administrative Assistant may be privy to private information, so the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion is a must.
